Separated at birth #3: Tilda Swinton & Julia Gillard?
Further to this and this, I went and saw Burn After Reading last night. It is a delicious tragicomedy of errors – hilarious and I recommend it. Still trying to work out exactly what the title has to do with the story though. Anyway, there’s this actress in it, Tilda Swinton, who is a dead ringer for our Aussie Deputy PM Julia Gillard, see for yourself…

They are even almost the same age. One thing that is not alike however is their voice. Tilda’s is a graceful, British intonation. Gillard’s accent and tone could strip paint.

Tilda Swinton’s also Austrailian btw.
And the title is a vague CIA reference to top secret or highly classified documents that must be burnt after reading…if only they’d done that with the CD.
While watching Burn After Reading I was amazed at the actors resemblance to Julia G, her hairstyle, her pinched up mouth when she spoke; if it wasn’t Julia G who was this woman? Then, just this week in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, there she was again, playing a classy Englishwoman who seduces Benjamin in Russia. I had to know who this actor was. Scary.
Another pic.
