It was a year today that I blogged the trompe l’oeil hoardings going up for Prada’s new Melbourne flagship in Collins St, and finally we have some progress in the form of… another hoarding.
I think the old one was getting a bit grafiitied up by skateboard lads impatient for a $900 Prada sport hoodie to ollie around Fed Square in. It will be interesting to compare Prada’s lazy fitout time to the complete refit of the Louis Vuitton store just commenced down the street. (I poked my head through the window the other day – everything has gone.) Bets are Bernard Arnault won’t be dillydallying around like his Italian counterparts…
